Library Cards!

After a busy week of textbook and computer checkout to start the year, library lessons will begin tomorrow!

(Which, coincidentally, is also my 33rd birthday. What a fun way to celebrate!)

For the first week of library visits, we always read great stories about books and reading, go over the library rules and routines, and make a pinky promise to take good care of our books. But the most exciting part for most students is finally getting to check books out of the library!

To that end, this lovely little rainbow stack contains 482 personalized library cards, one for each student in the school, with a different color for each grade level:

So pretty!

So pretty!

By the end of the week, every student will have left the library with one of these magical tickets and, more importantly, a great book (or two) to read and enjoy!
