We are so proud of our Chase Street Tree Frogs for their super summer reading!
To celebrate National Poetry Month in April and prepare for our annual Poetry Picnic, we’ve been writing a LOT of poems in the library! Visit this post for a link to our digital showcase.
Every year, our school collects canned goods and other non-perishable items to benefit the Athens Area Emergency Food Bank, a local non-profit organization that provides food to more than 5,000 people each year. AAEFB and the Can-a-Thon are currently in their 35th year of helping our community!
A big thanks to everyone–students, families, volunteers, and Chase Street staff–who helped make our book fair a smashing success!
People often ask me what the most popular books are at the book fair, so here’s a list of this week’s bestsellers!
Thanks to all who helped set up! This was the biggest book fair we’ve ever put together! Teachers will preview the fair on Monday, and I’ll look forward to seeing all 485 students for class previews on Tuesday! (Whew!)
Why do we love book fair so much? Read today’s post to find out! We can’t wait for Tree Frogs and their families to visit our fall Scholastic book fair next week.
The library isn’t the only place our Tree Frogs have been writing poems lately–many teachers have been doing poetry activities in their classrooms, too! Mrs. Moore’s 1st grade students each wrote an “I Am From” poem to share about their families, homes, and things that they love.
